The creative minds behind UK club Egg London have turned their attention to the distribution end of the industry with the launch of new house and techno label What Came First. Their first release from Frag Maddin received warm praise from the likes of Maya Jane Coles, and their second comes from London based techno producer Underlord.
Underlord’s music has received impressive recognition from some of the biggest names in electronic music. Juan Atkins and Laurent Garnier are fans, as well as Carl Cox, who selected the track ‘King Size’ for his Space compilation mix such was his love for it.
‘Block’ is a bubbling, aquatic piece of techno. Flashbacks of wandering down the dark corridors of the original Bioshock spring to mind. Bit by bit, each element is stripped back, relishing in its raw appeal as the deafening drop emerges from the shadows.
The Disrupt EP is out on What Came First from December 16th.
