The name Stephen Gorrie most likely doesn’t ring a bell for the majority of people, though his work as techno producer Hans Bouffmyhre definitely should. The Glasgow born Gorrie has released on labels like Soma Records under the popular guise, and this month he returns to another alias, Secluded.
Launched back in 2012, Secluded is home for a sound which he describes as a merger between Detroit and Berlin influences. All the Secluded tracks have come via a label of the same name, plus remix work from Mark Broom, Rolando and others.
The projects latest Heat Seeker EP will align the Heat Seeker and Misleading originals alongside two remixes from British producer Jay Clarke. We run an exclusive premiere for the latter mentioned original.
Bringing heavenly techno rhythms with bags of swing, dense sound design and distorted vocals that call out the track title, this one is just bursting to light up a dance floor. One water please.
Secluded’s Heat Seeker EP will drop May 27th on Secluded.
