Newcastle’s own Oliver Carloni continues his journey to shift the status quo within techno. Proving again and again you no longer need to rely on the top labels to have a chance at making a mark on the dancefloor.
His Throne Room Records label has been responsible for a heap of impressive releases and parties over the previous couple of years, including music from names like Return Of The Jaded and Drumcomplex.
Next up on the Throne Room catalogue is the label owner himself with a great four tracked EP titled Revenant. Within the tracklist we find two originals, Revenant and Special K, alongside remix work from Marck D and Dino Maggiorana.
We premiere Maggiorana’s inclusion, a fierce yet trustworthy cut that leans on the blood thirst of the dark and dimly lit dark room rave, it’s hammering kicks, clean transients and contrasting arrangement techniques deliver a real nought to one hundred techno weapon.
Oliver Carloni’s Revenant EP will drop January 28th on Throne Room Records.
