A debut offering from both artist and label will see the collaboration between Ishiki Recordings and Norwich synth head Miles Otto. The 18 year old hardware enthusiast delivers an experience similar to what one might hear on a record from Richie Hawtin’s alter ego Plastikman.
Titles include Phos and Toukan II, with an exclusive full stream of the latter coming on our SoundCloud. Toukan II brings a generous array of chunky analogue drum hits, smooth acid rips and a wealth of percussion that skips through the mix, aided by Otto’s attention to the finer details.
Approaching the three-minute mark Toukan II progresses into a cross roads of uplifting acid rolls and break-esque drums, cementing this one as a go to for the sweat fueled backroom after party.
Get ‘Miles Otto – Phos EP’ from June 8th on Ishiki Recordings.
