There can’t be much doubt that Mat.Joe have now become one of the most successful acts in German house music, with a catalogue that includes releases on Kontor, Toolroom, Defected, elrow, Milk & Sugar and OFF.
The pairs next outing will see them return to Nhan Solo’s Mother Recordings, a label that has been responsible for tracks from De La Swing, Supernova, Dilby and Robosonic among others.
To celebrate 100 releases, Mother has taken it upon themselves to put out different remix EPs. Part one is already out, with edits from Phil Weeks and Danny Howard, part two is forthcoming later this month.
Featuring two different remixes, the EP brings a Roger Sanchez remix of Robosonic and Ferreck Dawn’s ‘Let Live’, and an edit of Mat.Joe’s ‘So High’ by Italian producer Piero Pirupa, we run an exclusive premiere for the latter mentioned track.
Piero’s revamp delivers a tasteful blend of hot ‘n heavy deep house, with fiery drum grooves, rhythmic vocal chops and a firmly laid bassline that will surely heat up any sound-system it comes across.
The Remixes, Part 2 will drop November 14th on Mother Recordings.
