Premiere: Macchina Nera – Hunting Nightly (Reformed Society Remix)

Premiere: Reformed Society - Headspace

Rating: 8.0

Following a 10-long string of releases under their ‘Bavarian Stallion Series’ that saw inclusions from talents like Skee Mask, Stenny, Zenker Brothers and DJ Hell, Munich based imprint RFR Records have now ventured into the world of remixes.

Already on its third edition, the aptly titled ‘Bavarian Stallion Remix Series’ has seen edits from Redshape, Eduardo De La Calle and XBD, and next to the starting line is SHED and Reformed Society.

SHED’s remix finds him deconstruct Jonas Friedlich’s Jazzersizzzze, while Reformed Society takes his tools to Macchina Nera’s Hunting Nightly original. We host an exclusive premiere for the latter.

Previously the London based Reformed Society has put tracks out with UNCAGE, What Ever Not and DRED Records, and his contribution here is a stand out effort amongst an already impressive catalogue.

The track brings chunky dub stabs, crunching dark room textures and spontaneous string chords for a well-paced, but heavily measured club stomper.

Bavarian Stallion Remix Series 003 drops March 13th on RFR Records.
