Tel Aviv artist Khen has areossessed a musical gift from a very early stage in his life. At the age of six he knew how to play the piano and would also mix records through to cassette tape decks. As the sonic architecture of Tel Aviv was constructed brick by brick, Khen evolved alongside it, nurturing and practising a blending sound that flirts romantically between the sounds of house and techno.
Hot on the heels of a debut album release (Lost & Found), Khen is prepping the release of an EP on John Digweed’s influential record label Bedrock.
The melodic experimentation of Khen’s Pareidolia makes for a relaxing listen. Almost an uplifting form of therapy, the track radiates the sound of nature. Chirping birds can be heard amongst the electronic loop, which consistently evolves to reveal a bright and hopeful soundscape.
Pareidolia will be released by Bedrock on February 28th.
