Just Her is a Brighton based producer & DJ who has been making waves with many notable releases on some of the world’s best known electronic labels, including Crosstown Rebels, Anjunadeep and Global Underground.
Originally breaking onto the scene as one half of the Him Self Her duo, she has now cemented herself as a solo artist who is booked to play at events all over the world.
Traditionally many know the Just Her sound for its strong melodic elements blended with slick beats, but anyone who follows her own label Constant Circles will know that her tastes are broad and hard to pigeonhole.
Up next in Just Her’s schedule is an EP on the UK based Motek Music, which has also released music from heavyweights that range from Martin Landsky to Marc DePulse. Alongside the two original cuts the EP titled Quiet Anguish also features remixes from My Favorite Robot and Vibeke Bruff.
This new release breaks away from what many might expect from Just Her, as although it still has traces of her trademark melodic elements, it instead focuses on jazzy piano riffs layered with breakbeat percussion rhythms.
From the release we have been lucky enough to premiere track two The Signs which has lucid vocal phrases and breezy synths adding to the ethereal atmosphere of this charismatic cut.
Just Her’s Quiet Anguish EP drops March 23rd on Motek Music.
