Premiere: Florian Kruse ft. Thomas Gandey – Shape Of Light

Rating: 8.0

Nina Lach and Kelvin Lucas might be two of the kindest people in dance music. Their Lost On You imprint is a label which aims to donate all the proceeds from record sales to charity. In their own words, the revenue will “help with the fight against malnutrition, better health, and sanitary problems in the poorest parts of Africa.”

To date, the label has put out music from Rafael Cerato, Betoko, Franz Alice Stern and Lunar Plane, as well as a bunch of other impressive names. Next up is Berlin-based German artist Florian Kruse.

His two track Shape Of Light EP brings his 35 original alongside the title track, which includes a feature from Frenchman Thomas Gandey. We run a premiere for the title track.

Deep rolling basslines, gritty synth work, fattened up kick drums and smoothly harmonising vocal cuts come together for a rich techno production that stands out from the crowd and offers something away from the typical in your face format.

Florian Kruse’ Shape Of Light EP will drop June 3rd on Lost On You.
