Elrow’s main man De La Swing grew up on a diet of drum & bass and techno against the backdrop of early 80’s Madrid. Since then the artist has gone on to head labels such as Elrow and Ker Recordings, and last year dropped the biggest release of the year for Glasgow Underground, No Rules. Now, the label has invited Max Chapman and fellow Elrow resident Andres Campo to re-imagine the beloved project.
Barcelona based Campo has released on a range of labels, including Toolroom and Phobiq, and has collected numerous awards over the last half a decade; a credit to his creative ability. Here he takes on De La Swing’s ‘Universal Key’.
Campo’s rendition is a funk driven assault. Tribal like drums maintain a groove as cymbals crash and progressive sounds wash over the listener in a wave of groove and fury.
No Rules (Remixes) is out on Glasgow Underground on January 27th.
