Next up premiering on Soundspace we have a glorious concoction of German and Italian talent, courtesy of Cioz’s remix of Ante Perry’s ‘The Drive’.
Perry is a true workaholic of the music industry, not only working hard to produce forward thinking and diverse sound but also partaking in the running of an event series called ‘Flashing Disco Sounds’ and event agency apeoiffice.
The remix is made possible by the constantly evolving mind of Italian artist Cioz. Drawing inspiration from names such as Max Cooper, Stephan Bodzin and Moderat, the producer has most recently began to experiment with live music through a concept he calls ‘Knobs Bergamo’. Not only is this to be a platform for live music education but it also acts as a network, bringing together guests from all over Italy to meet and collaborate.
Cioz’s remix is taken from Perry’s The Drive EP, dropping on Einmusika Recordings on September 1st. The track begins in mysterious fashion; an array of intriguing noise soon evolves into a ready made dancefloor filler. Euphoric build up plays its part, inviting the listener closer as subtle yet effective synths make themselves known. Inspiration drawn from the likes of Bodzin is visible here as each sound is introduced cleanly and precisely, resulting in an immersive fusion of vibrating, shifting sound.
