Ableton Live is generally known for its production and live performance capabilities, but it’s also equally capable as a composition tool when writing music alongside media such as film and TV. On our Music for Media course (part of the Ableton Diploma), we show you how to work with video in Live and to give you a sneak peek into the course, we’ve created a brand new video series.
Course tutor Kevin Kerrigan (BBC, Channel 4, Bravo, Discovery Channel) has 20 years’ experience working in music for picture and in this series he shows you how to work with Temp Tracks – temporary tracks used to give the composer a feel for what’s needed – using Live 9. Watch part one here and if you want to learn more about our Music for Media course click here. On it, you’ll learn about sound design, writing themes, analysing projects and getting work in the industry.
