Max Chapman selects his top Hot Creations tracks

A lot of my favourite Hot Creations releases are the older ones, I used to love the sound that they started off with and so I wanted to present to you my ten favourite Hot Creations records from oldest to latest.

Jamie Jones – Ruckus (Ruckus EP)
Release: 2010

This track was the first ever release on Hot Creations. Such a cool tune, I love the little guitar lick.

Lee Foss – U Got Me (You Got Me EP)
Release: 2010

In my eyes, this record is from the best ever EP on Hot Creations to date. Lee Foss always made such unique cool music.

Lee Foss – Happen For A Reason (You Got Me EP)
Release: 2010

This is another track from the same EP and equally as good. That female vocal is the one!

Pteradactil Disco – Clive’s Alright (Big Ass Buscuit EP)
Release: 2011

This tune is a funny one, its actually cool-as-you-like, but I remember being in DC10 and Jamie dropping it, and you just have to laugh on the drop!

Hot Natured – Forward Motion (Forward Motion EP)
Release: 2013

This was what really put Hot Natured and Jamie Jones on the map in my opinion. Such a wicked vibe on this and mega vocals from Ali Love.

Waifs & Strays – Body Shiver (Hot Natured Remix)
Release: 2011

Definitely one of the tracks from Hot Creations that I have played the most in the clubs, I rinsed it in every set for over a year I reckon!

Alexis Raphael – Into The Light (Into The Light EP)
Release: 2012

I have some great memories of this track, especially the first time I heard it which was on a roof top in Brixton when Lee Foss played it!

wAFF – Jo Johnson (Rainbows EP)
Release: 2012

This tune was the first I had ever heard from wAFF and in my eyes the track that has taken him to where he is today. It’s also named after a pretty lady friend of his.

Mark Jenkyns – Wind It Back (Paradise Summer Sampler)
Release: 2012

Mark showed me this record at an after party after Paradise at DC10, I remember being a little bit worse for wear and he stuck the headphones on my head and this put me straight back in the game!

Audiojack ft. Kevin Knapp – Vibrate
Release: 2016

This tune is so simply made but so very effective. It’s very hard to use so few elements and get such an effective end result, and the boys smashed it here.
