“It’s the eighth year of Culture Night Belfast, the city’s biggest, most colourful and inclusive cultural celebration. In 2015, over 200 organisations and individuals got involved and performed, curated, cultivated, illuminated, showed, screened, told and generally opened up to over 65,000 people across the city centre, and beyond, in an evening of carnivalesque adventure like no other.”
As the cultural calendar leaves the brief summer and begins its journey into the crisp, colourful autumn we witness the arrival of Culture Night 2016.
We unite our own culture with those from around the world to create a great advertisement for togetherness. Belfast lights up with diverse experience from the sounds of Jamaica to Japanese artwork. An entire city comes together to eat, drink and dance.
With so much going on over Culture Night it can be difficult deciding on where to head. We’ve compiled a list of our favourite creative and artistic events that are taking place over the day and evening. Whether it’s kicking back in a record store and listening to local DJ’s, experiencing Belfast’s LGBT culture or moving ferociously to intense visuals and heavy techno, we’ve got you covered.
