So who is Dodi Palese?

First of all I’m a DJ then a producer and finally a label owner of two labels: Engrave Ltd and What Ever Not which I run together with my friends Musumeci and Dan Mela.

Your Brainscapes EP has just come out on your Engrave LTD label, tell us about the player and how it came into creation?
Dodi Palese
Brainscapes is an EP that sounds a little different from what I am used to producing but it is exactly what I was looking for.
We discussed a lot with Musumeci the decision to show more about my passion not only for the old school but also for the sonorities of our time and finally I must say that I’m happy with the result. It reflects also what my DJ sets are about nowadays.

There are no remixes present, will we see some edits in the future?

I don’t think we are going to do remixes for this EP. We already have quite a busy schedule for 2016 and so much unreleased material to share on Engrave Ltd.

And what does Engrave LTD have in store for us in the coming months?
Dodi Palese
Right now I can only announce the next two releases. First is the EP by A45. I’m very excited about this guy, I believe he is really talented. The release will also include a Tobias. remix.
Then a new collection of Musumeci’s works based on a tribute to Isaac Asimov’s Foundation Series.

Do you have a favourite from the five tracks?

It’s like asking a father who is his favorite son, you will never get an answer to this.

Tell us something we shouldn’t know about you?

I can’t cook, but I’ve heard it’s something which is ok if you DJ, so I don’t worry a lot.

Do you have any plans for 2016?
Dodi Palese
I have several remixes in the making and couple of EPs. I can only unveil the next one, which will be on Hoffenbach’s Connaisseur Recordings.
