Kerri Chandler – Who’s Afraid Of The Lights
Label: Kaoz Theory
Release date: 22-06-15
You don’t break 50,000 SoundCloud followers or become known as an icon of house without knowing a thing or two in the studio. #49 from Kerri Chandler shows exactly why this man has done both.
Coinciding with the launch of a new imprint from Chandler, Kerri’s addition for his Kaoz Theory sampler is a beautiful sonic cut titled ‘Turn Off The Lights’.
The track is a deep meets tech production of melodic percussion, filtered synth chords and a motivating vocal hook that rinses throughout the arrangement.
The compilation album also hosts names such as Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers and Detroit Swindle, bringing house grit to the masses.

Woz – SIBS
Label: Zoo Music
Release date: 06-11-15
One of UK’s most promising outputs comes in the form of Bristol talent Woz. Pushing a unique aesthetic of rustic bass and tech, this young Bristolian is getting some serious attention.
Coming via Monki’s Zoo Music label – a label that has previously seen Applebottom, Kalyde and Karma Kid -, SIBS is accompanied by ‘One8Five’ for a two-track player.
Having been given the nod from top acts such as Rudimental, Charli XCX and now Monki; Woz comes in at #48 with SIBS.
The production carries a tunnel-vision-like rawness that combines metallic stabs, throw-back vocals and a real ravers attitude.

Nachtbraker – Gurl
Label: Heist Recordings
Release date: 29-06-15
Premiered on Soundspace earlier this year, one track that has been a consistent feature in our office playlists and SoundCloud spotlight is Nachtbraker’s ‘Gurl’.
Detroit Swindle served the track via their Heist Recordings imprint, a label which has stayed true to their vision with players from Brame & Hamo, Frits Wentink and Max Graef (among many others).
Gurl comes with squeaky acid lines, intelligent synth harmonies and a pulsating house bass that warms even the coldest of winter nights, an authentic blend of house, funk and disco; presented in a dutch package of sonic gold.
