“There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life. Music and cats.” – Albert Schweitzer.

Suara are all about music and cats. ‘The Big Cat’ himself (Catalan DJ and producer Coyu) is best known as the “priest of the Suara house and techno temple”, and has been steadily generating a reputation as one of the front runners in the electronic ecosystem since establishing the label in 2008.

Consistently raising the sonic bar, Suara releases have received praise from the likes of Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier and Maceo Plex, and the label has consistently topped Resident Advisors most charted list, placing first in 2013, 2014 and 2016.

Here are a few of our recent favourites from the Barcelona based label.

Pirupa – Back To Bass

Italian producer Pirupa is more than capable of trying his hand at a range of different production styles, be it minimally inspired tech or pieces of melodic beauty.

Back To Bass sees Pirupa showcase the techno element of his musical personality. Subtle breaks, pounding basslines and acid stabs make for an intense and wavy trip.
