Pioneer announce three new headphone models 'HDJ-X'

Pioneer have announced three new headphone models in the DJ market, each with different price points and features.

The main changes in the price points comes in the form of technical differences, not cosmetic. The higher end HDJ-X10’s will be able to recreate frequencies up to 40kHz, a first for any DJ headphone according to Pioneer. They will also feature a sweat resistant ‘nano coating’ on the headband and earpads to prolong durability. The HDJ-X7’s and HDJ-X5’s do not feature these upgrades.

All three models are available in both black and silver, come with a 1.2m coiled cable, a 1.6m straight cable, a L-type mini jack, a 6.3mm stereo adapter and a carry case.

Pricing for the series starts at $99 for the HDJ-X5’s, increasing to $199 for the HDJ-X7’s and once again to $349 for the HDJ-X10’s. All three models will be available for purchase in October.
